Equiano, the world’s first award-winning premium African Caribbean rum. is named after Olaudah Equiano, a former slave, freedom fighter and one of the 18th century’s most important writers.

Equiano is a refreshingly unique and exceptional blend of barrel aged molasses rum from the Caribbean (Barbados), fused with fresh sugar cane juice rum from Africa (Mauritius). This is a great blend that has a very oat/cereal forward nose, which is enhanced further as it rests in the glass.

It is 100% limited batch true rum; no added spices, no additives and no sugars. Rich and deep in flavours emanating from the ex-Cognac and ex-Bourbon barrels within which it matures.

Going beyond the pour, Equiano Rum proudly pledges 5% of company profits to ground level Freedom + Equality projects, annually; supporting Freedom of Spirit with every bottle.

Not much of a sipper this one, but great in highballs and daiquiris (less the sugar, just lime).
