Pokeno distillery, from New Zealand, is located in the valleys surrounded by volcanic hills which is also the source of it's natural spring water. Notably, the distillery uses Kiwi barley sourced from three-family owned farms in the rich fertile lands of the South Island. It is the usage of local barley coupled with long fermentation and slow distillation makes Pokeno a uniquely New Zealand whisky. While coined single cask, this is in fact a vatting of first-fill bourbon and PX hogshead whiskies finished in a PX hogshead for several month. Dark chocolate, dried fruits and black forest notes, this is really a great sherry-forward treat to be enjoyed.

Named after Henry Hellyer, the first European explorer of the region, the distillery is located in Burnie and has been crafting single malt from local barley since 1999. Known for its expertise in barrel maturation and slow reduction using pure spring water, Hellyers Road produces whiskies of exceptional quality. The 12-Year-Old non-chill filtered single malt, aged in American oak, offers notes of vanilla and citrus on the nose, with flavors of exotic fruits, brioche, and ginger on the palate.
