When’s the last time you had some vodka?
Admin remembers his light years ago and that particular memory is still muzzy with fumes of overnight champagne... Well, we all had our fair share of vodka shots and vodka with our favourite cranberry juice at drinking venues.
Fast-forward to the responsible drinking versions of ourselves, which we all are, Vodka like all spirits can be right up your alley as a healthy staple when given the chance. While the relatively flavour-neutral profile of vodka makes it difficult to park it in any flavour camp/wheel/chart/diagram whatsoever, it is that bitter-sweet, ‘slice of life’ effect that having a shot of vodka alone in contemplation has that can be alluring.
Not to mention there are many people who simply like the taste profile, like how some folks love unflavoured diluted korean soju! And especially when it’s freezing cold (well, both the bottle and weather!)
The International Vodka Day is happening on 4 October 2024, and it celebrates and commemorates this beauty of a spirit and gives both vodka enthusiasts and casual drinkers a chance to raise a glass to a category that is making a comeback and reminding us why it’s still relevant.
The Nadar Vodka, weighing in at a solid 43% ABV, harnesses the power of both nature and science to create this world-first vodka spirit. Use pea as the base spirit and originally developed for the Nadar Gin, this vodka is an antidote to tasteless vodkas!
This field-to-bottle, world-first spirit is distinctive and delicious, with a vibrant and spicy taste alongside a contrasting floral nose. It is said to make a carbon saving of over 1.53kg CO2e per bottle.
Recommended: Have a shot of Nadar Vodka ice cold, or in a highball with some fresh lime juice for a refreshing drink!
