A limited rum tasting flight by La Maison and Velier
In 2021, La Maison and Velier partnered with the renowned Magnum press agency to launch a distinctive range of rum bottlings. Established in 1947 by legendary photographers such as Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, Magnum represents some of the finest photojournalists in the world.
The debut releases pay tribute to former Magnum president Elliott Erwitt, an American photographer born in Paris in 1928. Four of his iconic images adorn the labels of the first Magnum series. The second edition celebrates Alex Webb, another acclaimed American photographer who joined the agency in 1979. Known for his vivid, thought-provoking color photography, Webb captures fleeting and mysterious moments, often in regions shaped by socio-political unrest.
Beyond a mere rum collection, this series merges the artistry of distillation with the power of imagery. Each bottle pairs an extraordinary rum from a prestigious distillery with an original work by a master photographer. Designed to captivate both rum enthusiasts and art collectors, this range bridges two creative worlds in a truly unique way.
These rums are extremely limited, with an outturn between 1000-2000 bottles per label. Come experience what great sipping rums are about.
